False Lies
Every utterance that I give is false
The images that I portray to others,
I am smooth, and sly
I pretend to be coy and shy
I can be a lie
I wear everything that shimmers and glimmers
I surround myself, deeply with false cheery
My smile, never reaches my eye
And I blind all who look me in the eye
I am of the world
Proclaiming to all who come my way
I am material, knowing no shame
I spew forth rich lies
I spew forth filth with my forked tongue
I am Darkness that steals the Light that comes my way
Hurray for me, another comes my way
Smell this, smell that
It should make you hot
You say it does not
What do you know?
I am impressed with myself
I am self important
For I am filled with the loathing of the world
I twirl the world upon my hand
In the center of this world I stand
Hear their suffering cries
Hear them spout my lies
I stand in command
Holding this world in my hand

Just a little side note for those who like to jump to conclusions. This poem was not written to attack any particular individual, group or country. This is about how telling falsehoods against our fellow neighbors can cause harm for everyone.
This was written in the style of allusion, as if falsehood was a real person who walks around, casting deceit over all who happen in its path. It is very savvy, always dressing to impress. The more people it can deceive, the more superior it feels over its victims.
I welcome constructive criticism, so let me know what you liked or disliked about the poem.
